Description
This is a German World War I frontsoldier bust in large size + large silver colored plaque by the same artist. The plaque shows the very same profile image of the same soldiersdesign and was handed out for the Stahlhelmbund: ” Stahlhelm kameradschaft Rosstrup 8/5/1033″.
The soldiersbust is approximately 30 centimeters in height and on a green marble base. It issigned on the side with famous artist name Fritz P. Zimmer, who is know for his high quality German soldier busts, of which this is one and also in the most desirable large size. The bust is not dated, but it is known these were made around 1917 and onwards. It is overall coated in a nice dark patina.
The plaque is approximately 31,5 x 26 centimeters and is in the same excellent condition.
The price is for both bust and plaque together. As a “set” from the same artist and with the same striking soldiersimage this is a unique set.
This would make an amazing (museum) display in any collection.
Very rare to find seperately, but together i deem this a unique set.
