Description
This is an Italian MVSN officers Dagger delux type Model 1939.
MVSN stands for Milizia Volontaria per la Sicurezza Nazionale.
It is a so called “delux type” as can be seen by the ribbed brass fittings and removeable screwtype ball point on the brass scabbard tip. Much more rare than a normal type.
The model is “1939” as from this year on the leather hangers were introduced. The eagle is left facing (!) which makes this an early 1939 type if im not mistaken. The blade has some movement in the grip.
Complete with leather hanger and correct black knot/pommel.
The blade is in really good condition and shines like a mirror, i can not get it properly on photo unfortunetely, id rate it very very good however.
The dagger as a whole is in little used condition, it is not mint, but has just the right wear and tear to it. It would be a great displaypiece on a mannequin for instance. Priced accordingly to it’s condition. I see these go for much more at other sites.
