Description
This is a Wehrmacht (heer) Soldier bust on marble base (8.M.G.) I.R.15 (1934).
On the front is a small plate affixed with inscription, it reads: “Zur Erinnerung an die 8.(M.G.) I.R.15 vom 4.4.25 – 15.9.1934”.
Including the marble base the height is approximately 23 centimeters.
In light used condition, there is some wear and tear that gives it lot of character, but overall this is really a nice bust. In the middle piece of marble of the base is a crack, since this is not on the lower base this might be originally be there. Either way, a very striking image and an original bust.
Due to it’s size ideal for display in e.g. a glass cabinet.
