Description
This is a WWI German patriotic piggybank:
“Dicke Bertha 42 C/M – Der Feinde Kummer sind unsre Brummer” [the enemie’s sorrows are our flying grenades]
With an image of Paul von Hindenburg on the front, flanked by laurel- and oak leaves.
Approximately 16 centimeters in height, very nice and ideal due to its size for display.
Including the original key for the lock on the underside of the piggybank. It is rare to have the key still present as they are so small and are usually missing from old piggybanks. The lock in so-so order, but it opens and closes.
A very rare pariotic items that would look amazing in any Great War display cabinet or collection.
