Description
This is a large commemorative plate for Feldwebel (sergeant) Hugo Hölling who was KIA on the Western Front on 7 July 1915 near Ypern.
The size is approximately 50 x 38 centimeters. It is very heavy and approximately 7,5 kilos. The black cast iron plate is attached to a wood frame. On the lower end is attached an iron Cross.
A google search for Feldwebel Hugo Hölling shows he is currently still buried at the Menenwald cemetary/monument in Belgium, see for more info here:

Hugo Hölling is buried in menenwald at row “F” and location “1960” [F1960]. 8/RJR 213.
