Description
WWII Medalbar with Iron Cross second class and Treue Dienst 40 Jahre.
The iron cross marked with maker “S” in the ring.
Overall in very good condition. This is a rare double combination medalbar to find.
This is typically a medalbar for a “normal soldier”, who saw frontservice in the trenches in World War I and earned there the Iron Cross. Later he got at the end of the 1930’s the loyal service cross for 40 years labor with the same boss or work. He didn’t bother to get the Frontkämpfer Ehrenkreuz in 1934 (as did not many other veterans as they felt it wasn’t earned at the wartime period and didnt care 20 years later).
